(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: MIKE DAVIS CALLED ME ON JULY 21, 1999 AND BOOKED ME FOR A MORNING INTERVIEW THE FOLLOWING MONDAY ON KIOC BIG DOG 106.1 FM OUT OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS. MIKE SAID ANDY BARBER HAD GIVEN ME A GOOD WRITE-UP ON ‘HIT BOARD,’ USED BY DJS TO LEARN ABOUT INTERESTING RADIO SHOW GUESTS. I ASKED MIKE ABOUT HIS MIDDLE NAME IN OUR BRIEF DISCUSSION; LATER HE SAID IT WAS SPELLED WITH A K—KRISTOPHER—DURING THE INTERVIEW THAT TOOK PLACE PUNCTUALLY AROUND 7:30 A.M. CENTRAL TIME ON JULY 26. THE PREVIOUS EVENING, I WAS FEELING TIRED AND LISTENED TO “DREAMLAND” HOSTED BY HILLY ROSE. THE INTERVIEW GUEST WAS MICHAEL PETER LANGEVIN, PUBLISHER OF MAGICAL BLEND MAGAZINE. I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY COPY OF ISSUE #63 AT THE FESTIVAL OF BOOKS. THE RECORDING I MADE OF MY PARTICIPATION ON THE SHOW ISN’T AS LOUD AS USUAL. DURING THE SHOW, DISCUSSION CONCERNED THE INFAMOUS NOSTRADAMUS CENTURY X, QUATRAIN 72. THE FOLLOWING TRANSLATION IS FROM NOSTRADAMUS: PROPHECIES FULFILLED AND PREDICTIONS FOR THE MILLENNIUM & BEYOND BY FRANCIS X. KING.)
In the year 1999 [and] seven months,From the sky will come a great King of Terror,He will resurrect the great King of Angelmois,Before and afterwards, Mars rules happily.
D: “Dreamland.” Do you want to go on the air?
Q: Yeah.
D: Okay. Hang on the line. When you hear the beep, we’ll get you on. Talk directly into your phone and please turn your radio off.
Q: Okay.
L: . . . the differences. The things that are making a difference in the world and how they’re having an effect on bringing about peace and improvement in the world. The Democratic party was so excited that they actually nominated her for, in 1984, Vice Presidency. And her talking of the feminine energy rising and the women leading us. She really feels that that is the note of the 21st Century. The women, as we’re seeing in the last ten years, are taking a larger and larger role in society and she feels that’s going to be to the place where more and more women are actually the ones in the leadership political roles as well as spiritual roles and that that will represent a whole change because of the energy of the female as to how the 21st Century does unfold. Barbara is an amazing woman and her books are well worth reading for her scope, her depth and her optimism that comes across . . .
H: Well, Michael, it’s interesting — all these predictions seem to be — we see the tangible evidence of this all around us — children, women and how they’re moving forward in society. Obviously, it probably won’t be this year or the year 2000 but very shortly we’ll have a woman President and — creating a society that works. Women — certainly, the society we have today does not and it was created by men so I think it’s high time . . .
L: We try something different. I think that’s what the 21st Century is really going to be about, Hilly, and that’s what this all boils down to is that we can change what has existed and will change. And that each one of us — each one of our actions — what we have to believe is each one of our actions make a difference in what the future unfolds as. And even though there are tons of disasters and problems along the way, that we can work together to overcome them. And that’s really the magic that’s out there and the fact that Magical Blend magazine talks about more than any other.
H: Alright, let’s take one final call. Hi, where are you (BEEP) from please?
Q: Hi, I’m from L.A. — San Fernando Valley.
H: Uh-huh?
Q: I had a comment on Nostradamus’s prediction, which we’ve been hearing about all night and what I think is that America is the reincarnation of Mongolia. And Genghis Kahn lives on in every person who assumes that whatever actions they take are somehow ordained by God. And, of course, living in America in this day and age, you can’t help encountering many contemporary Mongols. I mean a lot of the writers in Magical Blend, for example, even though they talk about spirituality, they don’t really spend a lot of their money. I mean you even see them driving around in limos. (“AND”) I mean it’s quite disturbing here in L.A. I did get —
H: I don’t know how many spiritual leaders you have in L.A. (“WELL I MEAN”)
Q: When you — (“I”) I picked up Magical Blend and it had Tori Amos on the cover. I mean give me a break. In the same issue, they had Neale Donald Walsch talking about God channeling ‘there is no right and there is no wrong.’ I mean that’s B.S.
H: Alright, let’s give him a chance to defend himself and I’ve got to come to an end here.
Q: Okay.
H: So, quickly, you want to (“I”) defend —
L: I appreciate his opinion and everyone’s entitled to them. B.S. or not, I think it’s good that he was stimulated to think about it and if he feels that Tori Amos and Neale Donald Walsch have nothing to offer the world . . .
Q: (off air) But she was on the cover. I mean it’s like a celebrity rag.
L: . . . quite a few people to look at their spirituality.
Q: (off air) I mean aren’t you capital(izing) — aren’t you exploiting celebrity like everyone else?
H: . . . end on a positive note and that is that all of these people predict massive changes. I don’t care who they are. Coming up very, very shortly, whether it’s in August or some other time and we have the option within ourselves to make changes — positive changes by the way we . . . Is that right?
Q: (off air) By what guests we have on the show too.
L: . . . each one of us can make that magic more so in our lives.
H: Alright, Michael, I want to thank you very much for being our guest.
L: Thank you so much, Hilly. It’s been a real pleasure.
H: That free number again to get a copy of the magazine?
L: (gives number, repeats number) Anyone who calls tonight or tomorrow — we’ll send them out a free copy of Magical Blend magazine.
H: Okay. Again, thank you so very much and everybody else who wants other information, you go to www.hillyrose.com and you’ll find out all the links and all the things you need to know. Tomorrow night, as I said earlier, we’ll be talking about ‘executive orders,’ constitutional law and how our lives—yours and mine—are affected so directly by one person: the President of the United States without the input of Congress. And lots more coming up. Art’s back with you, of course, on Tuesday night. Sitting in for Art Bell on “Dreamland,” I am Hilly Rose wishing you (BEEP) and gentle night. (BEEP)
( . . . )
Q: (speaking into tape recorder) So, as you can see, when I called “Dreamland” tonight, I did get on the air. That was the most fun I’ve had in a while. Even though I do admit I was a little much. I guess I wanted to come across as that ‘king of terror’ — as if I wasn’t terrifying enough. Well, I am a descendent of the King family. Anyway, I guess it was good practice for my radio show tomorrow. I have some notes ready. I think, unfortunately, all the religious symbolism in my life doesn’t delight people. It fills them with absolute terror because here is proof that we live each moment in the presence of God. I’m looking at my notes now. You never know what you’re going to have a chance to say.
( . . . )
Q: And, by the way, I made the same mistakes that Tori Amos made and lots of other celebrities (made) during my time in Hollywood so I really think it’s more the measure of someone after enlightenment how they behave. There — isn’t that helpful? (“I MEAN”) Hopeful — yeah, hopeful. As opposed to terrifying. (“OR”) Whatever.
( . . . )
Q: And I don’t know when he cut me off the air, unfortunately. I’m sure lots of my comments didn’t get on the air obviously. Oh well, when I play it back I’ll try to figure it out.
( . . . )
Q: So tomorrow, July 26, at 5:30 in the morning my interview is supposed to take place. I mean you never know. I gave him my website to visit so he might get cold feet. Anyway.
(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: WHEN MIKE DAVIS CALLED, IT TOOK ME SOME TIME TO GET THE LISTENING DEVICE TO WORK. I RECORDED THE SONG BEING BROADCAST WHILE WAITING FOR MY INTERVIEW TO BEGIN.)
Don’t look back A new day is breakin’ . . . Now I see what I am is holding me down I’ll turn it around . . . Oh I see myself in a brand new way . . . ‘Cause I can’t lose now, there’s no game to play . . .
M: Big Dog 106. Boston: “Don’t Look Back” . . . (overlapping voice/both faint while I’m off the air) . . . “Big Dog Show” . . . (BEEP) This is Mark Russell. Mark’s calling from California this morning. What’s going on, Mark?
Q: Hi. Yeah — Mark Russell Bell.
M: Excuse me. Mark Russell Bell. That’s correct. And Mark has a Web page. It’s www.testament.org —
Q: There’s no www though.
M: Oh — just testament.org?
Q: Right.
M: Okay. Wow. Well I put a www and I still got there.
Q: Yeah. You can still get there but you don’t need it.
M: Okay. So — Russell — oh excuse me — it’s Monday, man, leave me alone.
S: (small laugh)
M: Mark Russell Bell says he’s a reincarnated Egyptian deity. For those of you who don’t know what a deity is, think of God, right? Mark?
Q: Right.
M: Okay. How did you come about this?
Q: Well what happened is I was working at Paramount Pictures and I had written a manuscript that traced the history of talking poltergeists in various countries and various ages.
M: Yeah.
Q: And I learned that there was one in Oklahoma. So I went to interview the family and there was one famous poltergeist named the Bell Witch of the 19th Century. (“I”) This family too was named Bell, which was sort of like a dynasty of poltergeists. It sort of reminded me of “The Godfather” epic. So —
M: Except there was like crap flying around the house, right?
Q: Right. And spirit voices — they thought that there was a family of aliens living with them. And there was one picture that looked just like aliens — (“LIKE”) little transparent gnome-type figures which they believed to be aliens.
M: Uh-huh.
Q: And attributed with this were all these different spirits. (“SO”) The predominant entity was named Michael and he talked — there were some UFO experiences where Michael told them that he had to get some records from a near-by county court building about hidden UFOs. There was all this skullduggery going on and what happened when I interviewed the family is I realized that my experience — the small bits of phenomena and things that were happening added up to a much larger statement about life in general.
M: Really?
Q: Well right. (“WW WHEN”) When you witness, like, insect phenomena and various things like that, you think well this can’t all be attributed to aliens. So —
M: So you believe there are aliens?
Q: Well I — (“BLEED IT”) there are entities (“THAT”) we refer to as aliens now. In other cultures, of course, they might’ve been referred to (as) something else such as leprechauns or fairies. Or, perhaps, everything is just an illusion that God creates to test us. I mean who knows? I mean there were also stories of bigfoot. There was — just amazing so, anyway, I had my tape recorder running and at the time I didn’t realize that I was going to use the actual transcript in my book. But I decided that was the best way to do justice to the story and just have verbatim transcripts so people could then draw their own conclusions and not tell anybody what this meant or what that meant.
M: Wait, I got to tell you right now you haven’t sold me on a thing.
Q: Well, have — did you visit my Web page? (“YES”)
M: I visited — I read through a little bit of it but you haven’t really sold me yet, Mark.
Q: Well what happens is, as you read it, it proves itself with the little coincidences and synchronicities. And what happened with me is that I had all this religious phenomena in my life like I was working at Paramount Pictures, which was known with the mountain logo. And, for example, when I was in Oklahoma a nail appeared — (“HIT”) bounced off my head.
M: A nail?
Q: A nail.
M: Okay.
Q: There were also pennies materializing and what-have-you. So when I got home I thought well this is really strange because there was still phenomena going on. I had burned bushes in my back — in the back of my condo a couple years ago. So I started researching — I got some of my books out and I read about Jesus and I — there was one book in particular, The Wars of Gods and Men by Zecharia Sitchin. And I looked up Jesus and it was page 224 and on this page there was a lot — (“THE”) it said about Bell-Marduk which was this ancient figure which was sort of a Jesus Christ story before Jesus Christ. Sort of an —
M: Well hold on. I got to cut you off there. We’re going to play some commercials.
Q: Okay.
M: We’re going to come back and talk to you.
Q: Okay.
M: If you have any questions about what Mark’s talking about, you know how to get hold of us. (gives two numbers) Mark, stay right there. Okay?
Q: Okay.
M: Don’t go anywhere. Alright, hold on just a few minutes. We’re going to come back with a block of rock, plus keep talking to Mark Russell Bell and Cracker’s up next on Big Dog 106.

(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: I TURNED THE TAPE OVER WHILE SONG WAS FINISHING.)
M: . . . 7:45. (BEEP) Mark . . . (listening device malfunction) . . . I guess and he’s a reincarnated Egyptian deity, correct?
Q: Right. I found out about this Bel-Marduk character.
M: Uh-huh.
Q: So, continuing our story, I basically started researching Michael (Mighael). And I found these Messages From Michael books where this all-knowing entity communicated via a Ouija Board. I looked up (Michael in) the Encyclopedia Britannica and there was a reference to Marduk. It said that there was “a relic of the primeval Babylonian myth of the struggle between the light god Marduk and the forces of chaotic darkness.”
M: Uh-huh.
Q: So there was all this — all these messages and all this synchronicity. And I realized that this, in fact, was an Angel in that Oklahoma house because He was sort of the ringleader (“YOU” “WILL”) of the various spirits and aliens and animal phenomena — and all the diverse phenomena that I experienced. It was almost like I was going through a ritual where these small little events were taking on much greater meaning. And there was lots of phenomena. I called up my twin brother from my motel and, as he spoke on the phone, he said his bed was shaking. (“SO”) And when I came home of course, the phenomena was escalating. I didn’t leave it back in Oklahoma and, of course, I realized that I’d always had similar events like this but I didn’t really figure it all out until I went to Oklahoma. So —
M: Yeah. Spooky stuff, man. (“IT”)
Q: Yeah. And it was something that I had researched and studied so I was prepared for it. But, then, after the experience I started looking at the film industry because here you have people going to their subconscious and doing all these creative works involving historical figures and Pop culture and what-have-you. And I started having these realizations. For example, this Entity, this King of the Angels, Mighael, I realized was sort of like a Son of God. I mean some people refer to Jesus Christ as the Son of God but there are some people like the Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe that the Angel Michael was the true Christ. And Jesus himself never called himself Christ.
M: Really? (“SO”)
Q: Yeah. So I started thinking about films and I saw these allusions. (“AN[D]”) For example, in “Citizen Kane” at the end (“THE”) the famous name Rosebud. Well that sort of implies ‘bud of a rose’ — another sort of vague Son of God parallel.
(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: ALSO NOTE THE NAME OF THE FILM’S DIRECTOR, OR’SON’ W’EL’LES.)
Q: And all of these very strange little subtext in films.
M: So I mean you wrote a book about all this stuff, right?
Q: Right. And it’s free on the Internet. I’m not charging for it. That’s one thing that really gets me upset is when people who claim to have spiritual awareness offer it (“AT”) for money. I mean they try to sell it. And they end up on the bestseller lists and driving a limo. (“AND IT”) There’s no wonder people don’t have any spiritual values any more.
M: Huh. (“O”) We’ve got to go on the phone — have a question. (BEEP) Eddie —
E: . . . you tell me about alien abductions? That’s happened to me all my life.
Q: Well —
E: . . . (hard to hear) . . . is it a spiritual thing or is it just an alien life form . . .
Q: Well I’ve had some alien experiences myself in the dream state so it’s really hard to tell what level of reality these are occurring on. And then you read various other experiences of other people and I, myself, have never experienced this as a physical phenomena but I did have a dream and (“SO”) my mind is open to whatever possibilities there are. I, myself, think that Spirit could communicate to us using aliens as an archetype. Some people, let’s say, don’t believe in the Virgin Mary so God will give them the archetype of an alien because now with our popular culture people are more prepared to accept aliens than they are religious figures.
M: Okay. . . . your stuff on your — the Web page?
Q: Yes, there are all kinds of different features on my Web page.
M: What is your theory on God?
Q: Well I believe — that’s one of the things that my experience really helped me with because I sort of see Him as — God speaks to us in every voice, communicating to each of us through the subconscious minds of others. Our brains are like (a) transmitting device for Spirit Who’s the ultimate split personality. So rather than living a single infinity, God has blown Himself up to experience countless infinities.
M: Alright. Hold on a second, guys. Here’s Queensrÿche “Jet City Woman,” Big Dog 106.
?: Hello?
Q: Hello?
?: Hello?
Q: Yeah?
M: Hold on a second, guy.
(“Jet City Woman” plays)
(BEEP)
M: Hi, Mark.
Q: Hi.
M: Hey, we’re not on the air yet. What we’re going to do next is we’re going to go back on the air and we’re going to talk about basically the work you’re trying to spread and we’ll let you give out your Web page a couple times and stuff like that. Okay?
Q: Okay, great.
M: We’ll wrap this up in just a few minutes. Alright?
Q: Okay.
M: Hold on a second.
. . . No more nights alone. I’m almost home now. Jet City Woman. Close my eyes, I’m there in my Jet City.
M: Big Dog 106. 7:54 on the “Big Dog Show.”
C: Right here right now, there’s never been —
M: . . . stop. Anyway (BEEP) still talking to Mark Russell Bell.
Q: Right.
M: Right.
Q: Well what happened to me after my experiences and I had all this expanded awareness about the nature of God, there was one night when I felt, like, this psychic energy streaming through me and I had to lay down. At the time, I didn’t really know just how I was changing. But I do believe now that this change happened on a genetic level yet perhaps it isn’t something that would show up in a DNA test as it was spiritual. But I’m now wondering if others who come to the same expanded awareness by reading the book — if they’ll experience a similar transformation.
M: Well I think Summer needs to read the book because she said that she had seen a UFO, right?
S: Yeah, I have. I know I have.
M: You have for sure?
S: It had to have been. There’s no — there’s nothing —
M: We need a story here. Come on, you’ve got to tell the story.
S: Okay. Sitting in a vehicle, waiting in the driveway for my friends to get home, you know, and my boyfriend, he’s like, “Summer, look at that star up there.” And when I looked at the star, well then it starts like moving — like back and forth real fast and like go diagonal and then it was like going in circles. And it was something that no airplane, no kind of flying object could do — (“NO”) any kind of technology we have could do that.
M: Really?
S: And it was just — I felt like it wasn’t. It would get closer. And it would come down real, real far and then it’d just hop back up, you know? I mean doing some weird, crazy stuff.
M: So what do you got to say about that, Mark?
Q: Well I’ve seen them too and especially when I was in Phoenix last I saw one. And I think what’s different from the clandestine vehicles in the space program, let’s say, is that these are more luminescent. And, in fact, I’ve had other strange sightings in the sky. Such as a door. And I was driving so I had to — (unattributed sound here on tape — I thought Mike had said “Door?” at the time) yeah, a giant big door like something out of the movie “Time Bandits” and, of course, I was driving so I had to look away. And every time I’d look away, this door would get smaller. So that was very — that was when I was living in Echo Park. Of course, that’s another thing that really struck me is that here I was living in Los Angeles across from the Angelus Temple — I mean again there was all this angel synchronicity. And then, of course, my friend Marie channeled the name Bell. And (“THEN I”) then when you consider how the word bell has significance in your own life in various names and what-have-you, it’s really quote an interesting synchronicity there.
M: Makes you want to ring a bell.
Q: That’s right. A lot of songs — the bell metaphors in songs are quite interesting as well.
M: Yeah. So give us your Web page.
Q: Okay: testament.org
M: You can check out the whole book there. What’s the book called?
Q: Well the first one is called Testament, which you can also order at bookstores, and the follow-up is New Testament, which is only on the Internet.
M: Alrighty then, Mark, thanks for coming on.
Q: Thank you. (“MICHAEL”)
M: You have a good day, sir.
Q: And you have an interesting middle name in terms of synchronicity as well.
M: Why’s that?
Q: Well what is it?
M: Khristofer.
Q: Khristofer has the word Christ in it.
M: Okay. It’s spelled with a K though, what does that mean?
Q: Doesn’t really mean — (“C”) spell it for me.
M: K — H — R — I — S — T — O — P — H — E — R.
Q: Oh, that’s fine.
M: Okay.
S: (small laugh)
Q: You’ve got a lot — in fact, that’s another thing I’ve noticed is that words within people’s names are quite revealing. For example, in your name you have such words as radio, historic, oracle, priest, love, hate, cats, movie, devil, scream. Lots of interesting words.
M: Wow.
Q: Christmas.
M: Christmas.
S: (laughs)
M: That’s my favorite holiday.
Q: So, anyway, thank you for having me on.
M: Hey, no problem. Hope everybody goes by and checks out your website. Alright?
Q: Okay.
M: Take it easy, Mark.
Q: Thank you.
( . . . )
Q: (speaking into tape recorder) So I was a little bit nervous today and I’m not quite sure why. You’d think by now I would be used to all of this. I had been hoping to talk a little bit about (“THAT”) Nostradamus famous Century X, Quatrain 72 but I just couldn’t work it into the conversation. After talking last night about Genghis Kahn, I really—after thinking about it—believe that Nostradamus was actually referring to the King of Angels, Mighael. The word “Roy d’Angelmois” — that just seems to be King of the Angels even though you’d think it would be Ray and not Roy. Anyway. Maybe Nostradamus just had really bad penmanship. I also wish I had reminded Michael that he has a C in his first name. So now that I’m not on the air, of course, I feel much more relaxed. Listen to how good I sound now. If I was talking, I would be saying — talking about celebrity probably and saying, “A lot of people focus superficial attention on various individuals for a myriad of reasons. Somehow people begin” — make that began — “Some(how) people began considering their fantasy lives and entertainment as being more important than actual accomplishments. God is all the time testing us in various ways and slelel” — maybe it’s better that I don’t read when I’m on the air even though I try to at times because look what happens — “in various ways and selecting various individuals to manifest around to create tests and metaphors for others. So this time he selected someone who apprenticed as a carpenter in the Hollywood dream factory and who knows just how corrupt our popular culture has become. One of the things Spirit led me to do was turning off my television and keeping it off. Nor do I go to the movies. The reality of living with an expanded awareness of God and what is possible is more fulfilling than the superficial materialism and social status that is the basis for most people’s goals.” And, of course, I would’ve liked to talk about how there’ve been so many countless Christed ones throughout history. The more I think about it, the more I realize how people, even in small ordinary lives and jobs, can be a Christed one in some capacity to other people.” I’m currently reading the biography of Srila Prabhupda and here is another Christed one. And you can just tell from his story how Spirit helped him deliver his message and prepare the world for even greater messages and more demanding messages.
( . . . )
Q: Yes, I slept good last night. Do you usually get up at six o’clock now?
L: Yes.
Q: Darn it, I just realized I wish I had gotten it into the conversation about me being related to Alfred Hitchcock and Ken Russell, the “Rebecca” and “Tommy” business.
L: In your dreams.
Q: What do you mean in my dreams? I have Hitchcock ancestry and Russell ancestry.
L: It’s not even Russell ancestry.
Q: You’ve seen my family tree, haven’t you? With the Hiscockes and Hitchcock family?
L: Yes, darling, I saw it.
Q: Well that’s enough of a connection. I mean there has to be some kind of shared ancestry there and even if not you have the names being the same.
L: Honey — sweetheart — darling, in this universe we’re all related.
Q: I know. I keep telling people that but nobody wants to listen to me.
L: . . . next door neighbors is related to Hitchcock too.
Q: I agree. If you go back far enough, we all come from Adam and Eve.
L: Right.
Q: Or Adam and Steve and Eve and Lillith.
L: (says something about me speaking too loud)
Q: Too early to scream. Right but we have all day to scream. I wish I had some more interviews to do.
L: You’re all hyped up.
Q: To help spread the word — I know. I have to finish off the rest of my tape.
( . . . )
Q: What?
L: If someone asked you the question are you and your brother close, what would you answer?
Q: I would say yes, we are. We just don’t see eye-to-eye on things. Michael’s a number ten just like me but where I’m going along with it, he’s fighting it. His idols are all movie people.
L: (hard to hear)
Q: Well he doesn’t seem to. I reminded him about people will kill you with enthusiasm and do nothing and leave you to starve.
L: Anyway, people ask me if we’re . . . and I used to say yes . . . but you and Michael are not close.
Q: I think we are. You have to accept people for the closeness that they’re willing to give.
L: You are not close.
Q: Am I close to you?
L: Are you kidding?
Q: But we don’t see eye-to-eye.
L: We’re the same person.
Q: I know. I think I take after you a little too much at times.
L: Sweetheart — no you don’t or you’d be out there working your little fanny off. Mark —
Q: I’m working my little fanny off. You don’t consider it work.
L: Honey, I love you. I mean I think we’re so close it’s like we’re one person.
Q: Well Michael takes after Paul and I —
In the year 1999 [and] seven months,From the sky will come a great King of Terror,He will resurrect the great King of Angelmois,Before and afterwards, Mars rules happily.
