(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: I CALLED “THE MATT DRUDGE SHOW” ON SUNDAY NIGHT, APRIL 29TH DURING A COMMERCIAL BREAK AFTER THE FIRST HOUR OF THE SHOW , THAT FEATURED COMMENTARY BY ANDREW BREITBART, WHO WORKS WITH DRUDGE ON HIS DRUDGEREPORT.COM WEBSITE. WHEN MY CALL WENT THROUGH, I LISTENED TO THE SONG “MIRACLES” PERFORMED BY JEFFERSON STARSHIP FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND THEN DRUDGE BUMPER MUSIC BEGAN. EVENTUALLY A SCREENER CAME ON WHO WAS SOMEBODY NEW.)
Birds and butterflies
Rivers and mountains she creates
But you’ll never know
The next move she’ll make
You can try
But it is useless to ask why
Cannot control her
She goes her own way
She rules until the end of time
She gives and she takes
She rules until the end of time
She goes her way
With every breath
And all the choices that we make
We are only passing through on her way
M: Alright, Matt Drudge Sunday nights from the alleys to the valleys, from the halls to the stalls —

I’ll carry it with me . . .
(“Mother Earth” performed by Within Temptation)
Q: Yes, I wanted to talk to Matt about Hollywood.
S: What do you want to say about . . .
Q: Well I don’t really look at it in a political way. I — it just seems to me that people don’t really want to question their lives and choices. And I think you have to look at —
S: What’s your name?
Q: My name is Mark.
S: Mark, where are you calling from?
Q: From California.
S: What city?
Q: Los Angeles.
S: Okay and what station do you listen to the show on?
S: A —
S: Oh okay, just like to find out — I got it. Okay, hold on. Okay?
T: . . . with the CIA so the spying is no big deal. I think the Kofi Anon incident crossed the line because it seemed that MI6, the British intelligence service, went into his office and placed a bug. There’s a big difference between listening to someone’s telephone line and then going into his actual and then bugging it.
M: Well this — this comes after the skirmish in the U.K. with Claire Short. She’s the former — Britain’s former international development secretary who’s part of Blair’s cabinet. She later resigned over the Iraq war — is accusing also Britain of eavesdropping and spying on the U.N. and the General Secretary himself so a lot of people are now making charges, from Kofi Anon — well not directly. But Hans Blix saying, “We were bugging these people.” And I remember the British newspaper — I think it was The Observer early on, saying they . . .
(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: A HALF HOUR DISCUSSION OF EVENTS IN HAITI WITH STU STOGALL, WHO SAID HE WAS CALLING FROM THE BASEMENT OF THE UNITED NATIONS AS HE WAS “TRYING TO FILE A REPORT FOR TOMORROW’S TIME.” I MUST’VE FORGOTTEN TO TURN THE TAPE RECORDER BACK ON WHEN THE SCREENER RETURNED TO THE LINE. UPON FURTHER QUESTIONING, I REMEMBER STATING SOMETHING LIKE: “IN CONSIDERING ‘THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST,’ ONE MUST REMEMBER THE SUPERFICIALITY OF MEL GIBSON’S APPROACH TO THE LIFE OF ‘BRAVEHEART.’”)
M: . . . Getting Emails from Hans Blix. Oh my Lord. I don’t think — that’s someone I don’t want on my instant message list. So how about the Oscars? Is it heating up at all? “Lord of the Rings” now — is it six for seven? It’s going to win. All the way with “Lord of the Rings.” I think this about sums it up. You know all the Hobbits are sitting on the edge of their seats. They can’t wait. We’re going to break out in a Hobbit celebration here. Finally some victory for “Lord of the Rings” after being snubbed all these years. Finally Hollywood is (“HI”) acknowledging. Are you following at all what’s happening in the Olympics? This is interesting in light of what we’re going through domestically with the gay marriages and all the rest. Dateline: Athens, a plan to allow transsexuals to take part in the Olympics has been put off. Apparently, the International Olympic Committee has failed to reach a consensus whether transsexuals (X) can take part in the Olympics. And, again, this is the Greek Olympics are (“CAR”) coming up in a few months here, summertime. (X) This discussion on the transsexuals is a difficult decision, (X) according to the IOC president. The rule would cover both male-to-female and female-to-make cases. Some contend that transsexual athletes have a physical advantage against other women because men are believed to have a higher level of — you know what I mean. So that’s what they’re worried about. “Hey, that’s really a man under there. She’s jumping higher. She’s racing faster.” However, doctors say levels and muscle mass drop after hormone therapy and sex change surgery. “It’s much more complicated for someone with no medical training to understand what we’re dealing with,” said one Olympic member. So the decision to allow transsexuals to take place in the Olympic games. And if they don’t I’m sure Rupert Murdoch can have the special — the Transsexual Olympics just in time for the July sweeps. (X) Since “Littlest Groom” didn’t work out too well. It’s Drudge on Sunday night. (commercial then rock music)
S: Hey Robert, hang in there, okay?
Q: From Los Angeles. (“UM-HUH”)
S: Oh your rider’s wrong. Hang on.
Q: Okay. (rock music followed by bumper music “Hooray For Hollywood”)
M: Alright, well we’re on our ninth cocktail at the Vanity Fair party just getting ready for this. By the time Sean Penn gets on they will be nice and sober. So did I see that right? Cinematography just went to “Master and Commander”? That’s kind of an upset, wasn’t it? Uh-oh, come on Hobbits, jump up and down. Get your magic going there. Start waving your witchcraft around, your lord of the rings. Somebody get the ring. (gives number twice) Line three, Mark in Los Angeles on KFI, you’re on the (BEEP) (air with Drudge).
Q: Well regarding the matter of Hollywood, I believe it’s — the problem is that people don’t want to examine or question their lives or choices. And that’s why you see it where it is today. Now when I — in a less enlightened period of my own life, I worked in Hollywood. In fact, I worked on the movie “Braveheart.” And I researched William Wallace. And I knew how artificial the “Braveheart” screenplay was yet I thought it was in the studio’s best interest to cover-up the inaccuracies. The movie, in fact, glamorized war and transformed one of history’s monsters into a heroic figure.
M: Alright, thank you sir. That was live from the Vanity Fair party. I told you it was flowing down there. Thank you. It’s Drudge on Sunday night. Come on Billy Crystal, dance. Dance for us. Put on a show.
( . . . )
Q: (speaking into tape recorder) Well I must say I was disturbed by the ‘Bob’ business. I was considering the possibilities of what to say. And I thought that perhaps the ‘Bob’ business indicated that some of my thoughts were not coming from a place of forgiveness and love and shared evolving because that’s really what my story is. It’s something for others to compare with, in terms of their own life and see how much Love we have. So there was — there were many things I was tempted to say about “Braveheart.” But there’s a lot of other factual, I mean, things that could be said. There’s been a lot of publicity and throughout the media about the film. They’ve turned it into an event. I saw an article in the L.A. Times (“Answering the [casting] call” by David A. Keeps) where it talked about the actors who portrayed Jesus over the years. Apparently the first one was — I’m looking at the article here — oh Frank Russell who “portrayed the Messiah in the 1898 Edison production of ‘The Passion Play of Oberammergau,’ shot on the roof of New York’s Grand Central Palace.” Anyway, I was making some comments about “Braveheart” on some Internet websites, such as http://www.hollywoodjesus.com and some Christian websites. And what I mentioned was that one of the learning experiences of my life was working on the press kit for “Braveheart,” presenting such a phrase in the handbook of production information as “It was an age stained by cruelty and violence, yet also a splendid and heroic time when the ideal of freedom was first beginning to thrive.” As the film was released, I wasn’t aware of a single journalist who questioned the accuracy of Gibson’s depiction of Wallace’s life, perhaps satisfied with the explanations provided by the press kit. Now, more spiritually enlightened than at that time, I am aware that corporate and national entities can become evil principalities for those who lack spiritual awareness. Wouldn’t I have liked to say that my spiritual path is chronicled at the non-commercial website testament dot org. I guess I — if I’d been in a bitchy mood, one might have brought up that whole business of the parallels between Rome and our own times. Is President Bush our Emperor Claudius? If I really wanted to be bold — I hope this isn’t negative — but I myself have always been challenged to look beyond the surface of the King James Bible. John Dominic Crossan was one of those who dared looking past the surface metaphors. But with Mel Gibson’s new movie, it’s not really a metaphor, is it? You see it in vivid dramatic license. I recently received The Bible Fraud by Tony Bushby, an Australian author and apparently his book is an accounting of the Masonic version of the Christ story. I’m not quite sure — I haven’t really reached a conclusion about it all yet but I find the name Rabbi Jesus Cunobeline interesting. But just as interesting are the parallels between the Jesus figure of the Mahabarata, Krishna — and Jesus. There’s so much material in libraries and bookstores and universities that no one person really can ever make sense of it all. But you can always follow your emotions. So I — again I have to question how superficial is Mel Gibson’s film? And since this is a difficult area to address, let me address something that I’ve always personally wondered at — and I hope I’m not saying anything offensive. One of the things I’ve always wondered about metaphorically in the book of John was that whole business about he made himself the Son of God. Looking at my own experience, there is no parallel with the Bible’s Jesus — someone stating to be The Son of God instead of “We all should strive to be a son of God.” That’s what I’m attempting to do. So on one level perhaps metaphorically can a case be made that metaphorically anyone who attempts to make himself The Son of God is going to get crucified? Now I do hold some unpopular views. For example — the book of Job. My belief is that Job lost his game with God or any — choose any name of God that you believe in as being accurate. I know with Moses, there’s a certain name and this certain name had links with the name Michael in ancient literature. Well I’ve read at least one source that says yes. Now John 19:1: “Thou couldst have no power at all against me except it were given thee from above. Therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.” Now as one well aware of the weaknesses and foibles of us Christed ones, metaphorically might this be a representation of weakness: perhaps ‘he’ should be capitalized in context with the beginning of the sentence. Maybe there is a hidden metaphor of bitchiness in the Bible. Well let’s see what’s happening on the Drudge show. It’s a commercial, of course. And yes, I’ve been listening to the show earlier and he and his associate — it sounded like propaganda to me. They always have to turn Hollywood into something ‘liberal’ as opposed to something ‘conservative.’ And you heard what I said to the screener. Now if he was going to get political, I was going to say probably something like, “Well just a moment, Matt. I mean for Pete’s sake, you’re a Clearchannel host!” Maybe next year at the Expo if I go, I can talk about “New Esoteric Spiritual Traditions” such as ‘The Bobs’ or anagrams within names as warnings. Certainly people are ignoring me to avoid questioning their lives and choices.
RADIO CALL TRANSCRIPT — TAPES #795 & #796 EXCERPTS
Q: Mark Russell Bell
S: Tom Danheiser, “Coast to Coast A.M.” screener
(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: I CALLED “COAST TO COAST A.M.” DURING THE FIRST HOUR ‘OPEN LINES’ SEGMENT OF THE SHOW ON MARCH 25, 2004. I WANTED TO SUGGEST A QUESTION FOR GEORGE NOORY TO ASK THE EVENING’S GUEST, URI GELLER, AS I’D HEARD OTHER CALLERS DO IN THE PAST.)
S: “Coast.” What’s your name?
Q: Hi. My name is Mark.
S: Hi, Mark. Where are you calling from?
Q: From Los Angeles.
S: And what would you like to say to George, Mark?
Q: Well I wanted George to ask Uri a question.
Q: I’ve read a number of Uri’s books and there was the time when he heard a (or “AA”) — a scream in his head or maybe a voice even. And it was in 1975 when he’d gone to a casino.
S: Okay, I will — I’ll tell you what. I’ll pass that on to George, okay?
Q: Oh oh — okay — oh I can’t ask him on the air?
S: No, not — we don’t do things like that on the air where we ask him to do things. I mean I’ll just let him know so he’ll probably add it to his repertoire of questions.
Q: Well how long is he going to be on the air?
S: Four hours.
Q: Oh he is? Oh well maybe I’ll just call in at the end of the show or (X) — are they going to have questions?
S: Oh yeah. Of course. Just like we always do.
Q: Okay. Okay. Thank you.
S: But I’ll pass it on just in case . . .
Q: Well no, I mean that’s okay. I mean (“I”) I — I — I could always do something. (X)
Q: Okay, by.
Q: (speaking into tape recorder) Well I don’t list to “Coast to Coast” much anymore. Mostly because the guests are so unintriguing. And now at the end of every half hour during the bumper music they have recorded messages about ‘listen via streamlink now’ — different revenue-making suggestions. ‘Visit the website now.’ I mean they must not think that the listeners have any kind of mentality. I mean I’m sure once a week would be enough but that’s the whole corporate trip. You should have heard the calls during the first half hour. They were all so boring and bland and uninteresting. Tom has got terrible taste.
(TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: IT SOON BECAME APPARENT THAT THERE WOULD BE NO OPPORTUNITY FOR CALLERS TO ASK QUESTIONS BECAUSE URI ASKED THAT DURING THE FINAL HOUR AN EXPERIMENT BE CONDUCTED AND CALLS BE TAKEN CONCERNING RESULTS OF LISTENERS BRINGING TO THEIR RADIOS, SPOONS, BROKEN WATCHES OR BROKEN BATTERY-OPERATED APPLIANCES.)
Q: So during the second hour of the interview, I sent a ‘fast blast’ to George, hoping to get my question answered that way. I must say it’s very clear to me that George has had a few similar experiences to those that Uri Geller is famous for. And yet I must say in all honesty it seems to me, listening to Uri’s interview tonight, that he really does care more about self-aggrandizement than connecting the dots, so to speak, or getting at the truth about the Force manifesting through him and around him, so to speak. And the same might be said of George. Either that or he’s just not very adept at comparing the experiences he’s heard about. So the ‘fast blast’ I sent was just simply:
Ask him about winning 17,000 pounds at a London casino in 1975.
Q: Of course, what he said in the book The Geller Effect co-authored with Guy Lyon Playfair in 1986 at the end of “Successes and Failures” chapter — after making this money he experienced what he described as “a sudden explosion in my head and a loud cry followed by a long echo in the building up of a pressure that became unbearable. My mind was filled with a single thought: Why had I used my power for my own gain?”
( . . . )
Q: Well I’m not going to bother calling. It’s perfectly clear. I guess I shouldn’t have put ‘Mark Bell’ as my name on the ‘fast blast.’
( . . . )
Q: Well, anyway, that was a stupid question about 11:11. I think my question would’ve been more interesting but what else is new?
( . . . )
Q: So Andrija Puharich apparently was a member of the CIA and yet still he was able to ascertain that “Somehow, the cosmic being has control of intelligent energy by means of which it can create any form of matter-energy it desires.” Page 126. I haven’t heard Uri mention anything like he did on page 174 of the book Uri by Puharich when he said “They are performing for us at our level.” On page 205 Puharich describes a test with Russell Targ where the ESP test machine bell rings followed by a copper ring flattening to assume a dumbbell shape and then the shape of the mathematical symbol for infinity. Another interesting account from the author was on page 239 where he said, “Words came out of my mouth for which I did not feel responsible. They came out with a vehemence that no one had ever heard from me: ‘Uri, I can’t go on with all this emotionality and negativity. You better go back to Israel. Let’s forget the mission.’ I was shocked by the words but made no effort to retract them.”
( . . . )
Q: Well I personally don’t care to participate (in Uri’s ‘experiment’).
( . . . )
Q: (during Super Prostate Formula commercial) Some things never change. Those people probably have kidney stones and don’t even realize it because that can cause similar symptoms.
( . . . )
Q: (during Uri’s pitch for listeners to buy books–each with a personal dedication and original drawing added by Geller that can be put on Ebay–with part of the income from these books going to sick children) Disgusting, isn’t it? Oh it’s 1:11 when I said that.
( . . . )
Q: (during gold commercial) All this talk of what ‘the mind can do’ — I wonder if Uri has ever considered that it’s the capitalized ‘Mind’ and not the lower case ‘mind.’ He must perceive that; however — well it’s no use speculating.
( . . . )
Q: (while Uri is giving advice near end of show) And don’t kill anybody and get rich off the oil companies that pollute the world.
