ABBA, a Syriac word signifying Father. . . .
ANGEL, a messenger; a name not of nature, but of office. . . .
ARCHANGEL, an angel of superior rank and dignity. The only archangel mentioned in the Scriptures by name is Michael (Jude 9). In 2 Esdras iv. 36 we read also of ‘Uriel the archangel,’ but even of the Apocryphal books that is one of lowest authority. Some have supposed that the name archangel denotes Christ, the Lord of Angels; but neither in Jude nor in 1 Thess. iv. 16, the only passages in which the word occurs, is there the slightest evidence of this, nor is there any difficulty in understanding in both places a created angel of superior rank and dignity (comp. Dan. X. 13, 21; xii. 1; Rev. xii 7).

MICHAEL (“Who is like God?”), an Old Testament name, synonymous with Micaiah or Micah (Num. xiii. 13; 1 Chron. V 13 et passim). In the book of Daniel the name is given to one of the chief “princes” of the heavenly host, the guardian angel or “prince” of Israel (Dan. x 13, 21; xii. 1; cl. Enoch xx. 5 and possibly Mal. iii. 1), and as such he naturally appears in Jewish theosophy as the greatest of all angels, the first of the four (or seven) who surround the throne of God, and the antagonist of Sammael, the enemy of God. He holds the secret of the mighty “word” by which God created heaven and earth (Enoch lxix. 14), and was “the angel who spoke to Moses in the Mount” (Acts vii. 38). It was through Babylonian and Persian influence that names were given to the angels, and according to Kohut (Jüd. Angel. P. 24) Michael is parallel to Vohumano, “Ahura’s first masterpiece,” one of the Zoroastrian Amesha-spentas or archangels. It is as guardian angel of Israel or of the Church, the true Israel, that Michael appears in Jude 9 and Rev, xii. 7. This latter passage is of distinctly pre-Christian origin; it is not the Child that overthrows Satan, the figure of the Messiah is ousted by that of Michael. There is also here a relic of the primeval Babylonian myth of the struggle between the light god Marduk and the forces of chaotic darkness. In the Western Church the festival of St. Michael and All Angels (Michaelmas) is celebrated on the 29th of September; it appears to have grown out of a local celebration of the dedication of a church of St. Michael either at Mt. Garganus in Apulia or at Rome, and was a great day by the beginning of the 9th century. The Greek Church dedicates the 8th of November to St. Michael, St. Gabriel and All Angels.

There is a simple and easy way to wipe out the federal deficit in two weeks, without hardship to anyone, if the American people unite and decide to do so. Confiscate 50% of all holdings of billionaires and millionaires whose net worth exceeds ten million dollars. This way we get rid of the deficit and in the same time get rid of a little social injustice.
It is most alarming and horrifying that our citizens and voters are unaware and unable to detect the direct relation between political corruption and the terrible disasters that happen frequently. The explosions of the Challenger and the Titan for instance are due to corruption among defense contractors. Those in turn are hand picked for their jobs by exquisitely corrupted politicians.

The Wizard of Floyd: Recent media and Internet reports that Pink Floyd’s 1973 album “Dark Side of the Moon” may be a secret soundtrack to the 1939 movie “The Wizard of Oz” have spawned a sales surge for the rock album, as buyers snapped up 18,000 copies last week, according to SoundScan, far surpassing the usual 7,100 to 7,400 in weekly sales. Sales for the movie’s video, which has fluctuated in popularity over the years, rose from 7,000 three weeks ago to just under 12,000 last week, according to VideoScan, with an even greater increase seen with video rentals. Among the similarities cited by soundtrack theory proponents: When you start playing the album at the MGM lion’s third roar, the song “The Great Gig in the Sky” plays during the tornado; the song “Brain Damage” accompanies the Scarecrow’s “If I Only Had a Brain,” and a cash register sounds when the film switches from black-and-white to color. The band has not commented on the reports, but album engineer Alan Parsons has said the whole thing is coincidental.

We are left on our own to infer the real existence of kitchens, closets, banquet halls and libraries in the heavenly lands! For example, the library in God’s house must surely contain books in multidimensional living color — books that contain in minute detail the history of the world as it really happened, all recorded by special angels (see Ezekiel 9:2 for instance). If, then, we are being prepared now to live in wonderful new bodies we also can look forward to dwelling in a splendid new house and city.

E: There’s an ensemble of data points that mark the beginning of a global economic collapse. Most of them are associated with starvation and weather, not necessarily in that order. In fact, it’s the reverse order — weather and starvation. That will lead to disease. We are facing a global ecological collapse and that will eventuate in a global economic collapse . . . and flowers are changing color in New Zealand . . . Now, what that means is that the ozone hole — and what scientists are about to find out — geophysicists are about to find out — is that the ozone holes are not simply polar. There is, as I’ve mentioned before, a sort of metastasis—using a medical analogy—going on in the upper atmosphere. Not jut the polar regions. I want to get back to New Zealand.
A: Okay, even before that, you’re right. There’s an ozone hole over Russia now that’s 2,500 kilometers. It’s incredible. There are reports from the Antarctic that single-celled animals are now exhibiting ‘genetic change.’
E: Yes . . . and starfish are dying off in the Arctic regions. . . . Anything that is in its developmental stages exposed to direct sunlight—an egg, for instance: a frog’s egg, a fish egg, an invertebrate’s egg—will not be able to withstand the rapidly increasing ionizing radiation as a result of a rapidly degrading atmosphere and ozone layer. So we’ve got a real problem. New Zealand is a good case in point. The children play only in covered areas. They wear sunscreen and sunglasses. But more importantly the flowers are changing color rapidly. If one remote views this — if they use technical remote viewing (and) turn one’s attention to this, one can discern the reason why. That is the color of flowers are there because they attract their pollinator. Now bees and moths—moths in the nighttime, bees in the daytime—are the most common pollinators. These have a polarized eye and it’s very sensitive to sunlight — extremely sensitive. They use the light, the position of the sun to navigate and find their way to food — to flowers. When that light changes and effects the very center of the bee’s eye, it can no longer navigate to its food source. So flowers, that are capable of changing very rapidly because they generate rapidly, have to adapt to a new color that reflects light in a new way so that the bee can find the flower again. So the color of the flower must change very rapidly.
A: Okay. So is that then a good thing or a terrible sign? In other words, you’re saying it is adapting.
E: It’s a bad sign because they can only adapt so far. A point will be reached where the bee will be blinded entirely and not be able to find food in any case because the bee’s eye—the insect eye—cannot evolve as fast as the flower can change color. So the bees will no longer be able to find their food because it will be too bright in the ultraviolet spectrum for them to see. They’ll be blinded also — just as sheep in Tierra del Fuego are blinded now and walk off cliffs because they have cataracts.
A: So what happens when the bees can no longer —
E: Then our pollinators will not be able to pollinate so any food crop—tomatoes, apples, all your fruits and many vegetables—will not be pollinated. You can imagine how labor intensive it is to pollinate by hand with a brush. It is just not practical and that will lead to a lot of starving people. Watch what happens in Eastern Europe this winter. There is no more excess food. There is no food surplus. We could barely feel North Korea right now. As you know, North Koreans are allegedly starving. We might be able to muster enough food together to feed North Korea but we’re not going to be able to do that for Eastern European countries this winter. You are probably going to see some cannibalism.
A: Any idea, Ed — my God — you mentioned North Korea. That’s interesting because just yesterday North Korean soldiers crossed the DMZ and got into a pitched gun battle with the South Korean soldiers. There was even heavy artillery being used to —
E: Desperation — tactics of desperation. If I were an Eastern European commander and I had access to a nuclear weapon, I’d point that at China and I’d call the President of the United States and I’d tell the President: “I demand the following foodstuffs, gold, etc. in 48 hours or I’m going to launch this medium range ballistic missile against China.” That would put a lot of pressure on the United States from both China and other countries to deliver the goods. That kind of nuclear blackmail — those are also tactics of desperation and you might see something like that in the future because of weather and food — food shortages leading to tactics of desperation.
